Default Reputable shop for potential rebuild?

    Hey guys,

Does anyone know of a good shop that can diagnose my second cylinder low compression, and actually tell me the cause (because I'm unsure if maybe it's leaking from somewhere other than the rings but not ruling that out) and potentially rebuild my mazdaspeed3? At a fair price of course not looking to get hosed

All you need is a bore scope to see if you can spot any scouring on the side of cylinder 2 or do a leakdown test.
Call shops and ask how much for the tests, stay away from CA (Competition Automotive). @Shawn - they effed up a few to many too lol...

I will have a stock MZR DISI engine for sale soon from a MS6 with 120kms. It also has low compression but in cylinder 4, was going to get the head rebuilt then it is ready to go.
It has a broken intake valve that didn't completely screw up the engine lol... still runs but not well.

You could have a bad injector seal so don't loose all hope. Let me know if you need any other help.

I am pretty sure Jimmy @ Street Performance would be your best bet for a fair rate for professional help lol...

Waiting for the turbo still... it's supposed to ship today. @KidRambo

Not going to try and derail the thread though.

@JSharrmz How did you find out about the low compression? And are you having any excessive blow by in the turbo/intake side? Oil consumption issues?
