I have octane 91 atm in the tank and there is no knocking/slapping coming from the engine bay.
Any body else experience this?

This is my first ever DI car, and bought this last year October. So I have no idea what it supposed to sound like during summer months.
I just put in esso 93. It just probably do not like petro 91. I used to put shell 91 but i was in the boonies last weekend.
Ill make a clip tmrw and/or make one of you speed3 dudes at the bbq sit in my car and listen... or ill sit in the stock ones.
I don't hear anything wrong. Open the engine bay and record from there. Sounds pretty normal to me.
From engine bay, all i hear is the usual ticking noise.
Its my first time with the speed in the hot weather, so i have no idea what the norm is
Nothing really sounds unusual to me, I am unable to compare to mine as it is a noisy car for other reasons
Just an update.
I am now using oct 94. I do not hear this chugging sound at all.
and cant really hear anything from that video, take a video with the hood open?
Sounds normal to me. The DI of the engine sounds a bit different than normal. I hear all kinds of ticks which freaked me out at first.
Well the chugging sound is still there on hot days regardless of what octane I use.
Now at this point, im going to see jimmy thursday so an opinion.
I don't hear anything wrong and to firm up what someone else was saying, 94 octane doesn't mean a damn thing if your car only needs 91. If you're knocking on 91, you have waaaay bigger problems.
