    Default Mazda of Toronto

Hey everyone. I'm new here but I had such an amazing experience buying this car I had to share. I found this website on June 1st, and today I drove home in my first BRAND NEW car. I hadn't even considered Mazda until the end of last month, I was so focused on getting a Subaru WRX until I noticed its gas mileage and repair costs. I wanted a car that was designed for drivers, and found myself lurking this website. Someone mentioned buying from Jeff so I gave him a shot. One e-mail and within a day we were on the phone and plans were made to purchase the car - all over the phone! Jeff has been accommodating, he has been helpful, courteous, TRANSPARENT, and honest. I spent $32,000 taxes in on my vehicle, I have all the warranties I will need until my next car, and I don't feel a shred of buyer's remorse. I had more anxiety after buying my MacBook Air than I do after financing a new car, and it has everything to do with Jeff.

I picked up my car on my lunch break and drove her back. She rides like a cloud compared to my 2001 Acura EL and I cannot wait to leave just to saddle up with her again. Thank you Jeff, you have won yourself a loyal customer and raving recommendations if ever I know someone looking to buy a new car.

Go to Jeff! He got the bizz down right.

Haha it's just a stock Mazda 3 Sport, but I'll likely be putting a pic in my thumbnail

Jeff is right... I'm excited to mod-up.

Mods I'll be getting in order (so far):
    Rear Sway Bar
Leatherette seat covers (found a site on here that has some high quality stuff)
Cold Air Intake (apparently makes a difference on naturally aspirated engines)
    Exhaust System
    Front and Rear Lip
    Matt Roof
Matt Hood (might even replace the hood to include a hood scoop, but I'm on the fence because it feels a little juvenile to equip a commuter with sporty accessories)
Angel Eyes? (haven't looked into whether or not my current lights are angels)
Yellow Fogs (maybe a different colour not sure)
    Foot Well LEDs
19 Inch Rims MAYBE 20s, buying used because why the hell not (will also take advantage of that warranty Jeff got me on ;P)

Thinking about this stuff puts a smile on my face. Thoughts?

20 inch rims is excessive, and the tires will be overly expensive.

You want great tires as that'll make the most difference in the way she drives.

Forget the rear sway bar, that's $250 you can spend somewhere else

    Did someone say yellow fogs?

Disagree, rear sway bar is awesome. Especially on a non-MS3 car.

100% that's exactly the sort of look I was thinking of, but I fee like for a hatch it's a little much. I have a child seat in the back for God's sake. LOL.

I'm inclined to agree on the rims. Honestly this is my first "car car" that's not an old used beat up piece of metal bandaged together. I'm not exactly sure what I should and shouldn't do so I'm toying with ideas and colours. So far that's what I have planned out. For the rear sway bar, Jeff told me it made all the difference for him and that it's the first mod he'd do if he could do it again. Maybe get nicer rims, or dip my rims, and get better tires? That way I don't go up to 19" but still have the impact on the way she drives. I'm more performance oriented than aesthetic tbh, and if I add aesthetics I don't want it to look childish or juvenile. Sophisticated sport is what I'm looking for.

if you're going to be performance oriented, i feel 19" is also overkill for these little cars. go too big and too heavy it's going to drive like poop. One of my first cars i swapped the stock 14's for 17, and more than doubled the weight (didn't think to look for lightweight, just cheap and looks). Drove awful and looking back, looked way too big and ridiculous.
looking at the camaros and corvettes at work with 19" and 20" wheel options up close, i couldn't imagine stuffing those onto our little mazdas.

The diameter of the stock sway bar to upgraded on a Mazda 3 is probably quite significant as compared to a speed3 so I will stand corrected

LOL naw...you'll just look like a super cool parent that's all!

Sadly though, I've read a few posts in a group I'm in on FB where ladies were finding mean notes left on their cars because they parked in the "Family" parking spots and people disapproved of them transporting children in a modded car...sigh

i love jumping into one of those spots and getting looks, then i pull out two kids and its like "haha... suck it.." its almost like they think you're not allowed to park there unless you're in a large SUV or mini van. My hatch isn't "family" enough

That's terrible. I hope I don't ever have to deal with ignorance like that.

Awful experience with this guys ... blacklisted for me next to Markham Mazda ... today I picked up my car after they fixed it on warranty - NO fix whatsoever. Not to mention I was late at work for an extremely important meeting having to wait for the rental that was not there on time although I specifically told Vanessa I need the car to be there ... had to wait ONLY 20 minutes.

My issue: the car is making a clunking noise when going over rough roads / bumps and it is more noticeable when turning right. 2015 Mazda 3 GT.

I checked the paperwork they gave me and I see they applied TSB 02-010/16 - and here is the problem, it does not apply to MAZDA 3 only MZ6, CX-5 and CX-3 - it applies in part, and it was not specifically issued for MZ3.

After another search I find the one that applies specifically for MZ3, and funny enough my VIN is even in the range, is TSB 02-001/16, where adding the bump stopper and the protection to the spring is not OPTIONAL it's a MUST - obviously they did not even took the struts out - the noise is coming from the strut assembly (strut bearing, spring ... maybe) , not that I'm a mechanic but I had this issue before on another car ... and I fixed it myself ...

So now I have to bring the car back for another half day, pay for a rental and loose another few hours for nothing ... It will not be Mazda Of Toronto that I'm sure of. I'm so pissed because of the whole service issue here in Toronto that I'm honestly debating on selling the car, and I know it is not Mazda's fault, deep down I know it is a good, fun car ... but service just sucks, or I'm just very unfortunate since this is the second time something stupid happens (Markham was first ...)

I love my little Mazda. I don't want to trade it in for a van.. but some of my friends have converted. I'm going to hold out as long as I can!
