Default Good shop get my brakes/rotors replaced? Etobicoke Area

    Hello,

I wanted to replace my brake pads and rotors, but the rotors were too seized, so i only replaced the pads at the front.

Does anyone know a good shop in the Finch / Weston area where I can them replaced?

    Thanks

Rotors can be seized that bad even after hammering the shit out of it ?

i had someone wanting to buy the hub and knuckle from the part car... they were so seized that the hub separated and broke apart and the rotor stayed attached to the one side but then again they kind of sat on the shelf for a year.

Yes they can seize that badly. Very common for these cars. If not careful you can break the front knuckle. I went through a 3 hour ordeal getting mine off my winter beater in the driveway. The rotor actually split in 2 on the one that I removed.
From what I have been told is to spray some penetrant behind the rotor and let it sit for a few hours and that should allow you to break it free with a good hammer hit. Never tried this method so I don't know how well it is to work

That's a great way to do it whenever I do a set of these brakes this is exactly what I do. The problem is the outer ring of the hub rusts to the hat of the rotor, so smacking between the lugs and the sides of the hat are the best way to crack it.

I'll probably have another go at it with the rotors, but if that fails, I'll bring it to a shop.

    Thanks guys

Dont forget to put on the nuts when shocking the hat so you dont mash your threads, a 4-5lb mallot should do it, make sure you get a good angle for a full swing if youre lying underneath

Jimmy from Street performance (Markham) has installed most of my replacement suspension components (LCAs, Shocks/struts, Axles, Brakes + Rotors And Altech (Markham) has installed my rear camber arms and has done all of the alignments. Excellent work and good experiences from both shops.

thanks for the input guys. I've actually gone to Jimmy to install an ms3 muffler on my mz3. He did it with breeze and was friendly enough to squeeze me in on a Saturday afternoon, knowing how busy he gets.
