Default Klima Cleaner in vents safe?

I bought a can of 1Z Klima Cleaner to get rid of the musty smell coming from my AC. They originally sold this for you to inject through your air vents.
However the company's american website now says not to do it. I called them to ask why and they said they've had cases of people frying their ECU
because the stuff floods the area with the evaporator core. Is this the case with a 2012 Mazda 3? I'm tempted to get a cheap usb scope camera to
verify. Otherwise can I stick it in through the cabin air filter side?

Not sure about this specific product but my 2012 had a cheesy AC smell so I just turned the AC on full blast and the recirculating air off, opened the hood, and sprayed half a can of Lysol onto the AC air intake. Nothing bad happened and no more nasty smells, if that helps at all. Oh and make sure the windows are open

Yup if anyone does it make sure you let the car air out for a few hours and blast the AC for at least 20 mins after spraying it so you don't breathe it in on the next drive
