    Default Wheel sizes compatible?

    Hi guys,

I have a 2016 3S GT and was wondering if the stock 16" wheels and tires would work on my car that currently have the stock 18"?

Yes. Tires are so much cheaper at 16".

The stock size for 2016 is P205/60R16

The older 3 has a 205/55R16, either will work.

If I remember correctly the GT used to have bigger front brakes. On the gen 2 speed you were able to fit a 16" rim depending on the offset and the rim style. I would test fit a rim on the front as that is generally where the calipers are bigger. Not so worried about the rear as they are usually rather smaller than the front

My spare tire says T125/70D16. I'm gonna assume it's going to fit 16" steelies. Anyone wanna correct me?

If you have a 16" spare you should be ok. Just still test fit a rim with the steel wheels. As some steel wheels will have a different design and may interfere with the caliper. I simply picked up a set of OEM gen 1 alloys for my gen 2 speed and had no issues.

Can 100% confirm 16" Mazda OEM rims fits fine on the front and rear. I test fit a Mazda 16" OEM alloy rim on my 2015 GT before I went ahead and mounted the tires.
