So what do you recommend in a similar or smaller form factor around the $20 price point ?

Fenix UC02 is pretty awesome for a small light..I own a couple of them and have given a few as gifts. Quite a bit smaller (keychain sized), micro USB rechargable directly, 10180 cell included, two modes 130 and 10 lumens (the microstream is single brightness at 45 lumens), costs $35 which is right in line with the microstream's normal price.

That said, streamlight generally makes higher quality torches than fenix.

...l picked this up at CT for like $15 a year ago. Use it several times a night at work, still on the first battery.Plenty bright and uses only a single AA battery.

Default The Everyday Carry (EDC) Thread

Didn’t post this earlier but a little while ago they released a follow up to the Spyderco Paramilitary 2...

It’s called the Para 3 and of course I had to have it...

It’s quite a bit smaller, easier to handle and looks less murderous which is always a good thing

    Paramilitary 2 vs. Para 3

Side by side with Delica 4

If you only wanted to buy 1 knife I’d say this would be the one to get.

Had a friend “bring” in a Flashlight-slash-taser for me, from a recent trip overseas.

I’d take a vid of it - but scared to death I’m gonna tase myself in the process LOL

Just gotta figure a way to keep it charged and hidden- yet still quickly accessible in the event of an emergency.

And yes, I know there are legal issues to own a taser in Canada.

Which is why you felt it to be a good idea to tell everyone on a public website?

Default The Everyday Carry (EDC) Thread

    10 year wedding anniversary gift...

    Chris Reeve Knives Small Inkosi
US $375 price tag but the quality really is exceptional...very unnecessary indeed

But now I want a Large Sebenza 21 which retails for US $410 and that’ll be the extent of higher priced knives for me

For the most part anything in the US $200 range is the limit of diminishing returns especially since you really want to beat up on these things

Side by side with the Zero Tolerance 0450 which is also a titanium frame but but half the price
