Hey folks.
Does anybody know how the 2016 Mazda 3 with 6 speed manual Mazda 3 fuel economy is real world vs the automatic?
Does anybody know the weights of any of the optional rims? Are any of them lighter than the standard stock wheels?

The upgrade wheels I am considering are the M008 (or possibly the M002 or the M006) from the Mazda Canada website.
Was hoping to get a weight for these wheels.
On my 2015 Mazda3 GT 6MT I'm currently getting around 7.0L/100km, 50/50 city/highway (average speed 66 km/h). I have just over 11,000km. Mileage has improved since new where I was getting about 7.4L/100km. I'm finding it relatively easy to achieve this figure (no hypermiling techniques etc.).
On the highway (ie: 400 series) I normally set the criuse at 105 km/h and it averages at around 6.0 - 6.2L/100km at this speed.
Sorry, can't answer to the automatic.

I can help a tiny bit on the AT numbers...
Okay so keeping in mind all I do is sit in traffic, I'm getting 9.2L/100km with a 2015 GT AT
My Parents bought me more Hot Wheels than Barbies when I was little...

Some Mazda aftermarket Fast rim weights from the dealer:
M001 > 20.4 LBS
M002 > 25 LBS
M006 > 21.8 LBS
M008 > 20.2 LBS
Curious what the stock 18" wheels weigh. The parts guy did not have that info.
Go for OZ Superleggera 18"x8" @ 17.6 lbs
Or Ultraleggera 18"x7" @ 17.6 lbs

Absolutely no way to get an answer to this question. Ideally it requires the same person to own both versions and drive same route with both cars.
As is, there is so much variation in driving style and conditions from one person to the next, it is best to rely on the numbers provided by the EPA (fueleconomy.gov)

just a bit expensive. I'd love to do the motegi mr 126 19" they're light for 19s. Also more options for tires. Here is my picture of fuel consumption. This is what worse case would be. I'm normally in sport mode and use the paddle shifters to around 4-6k rpm. Spirited Driver here, needed new tires after 6 months. Including Winter being on.... I just have the k&n intake.
