Custom could be a better and cheaper option... something to consider

I had a MagnaFlow on my 07 gt. It sounded great in my opinion.. there was a little bit of drone at hwy speed. The odd crack here and there(I liked that). Overall good bang for your buck.

I'd suggest the Vibrant exhaust if its still available. It comes full with a high flow cat, sounds great> I get alot of compliments on the sound!! It is very well made, I've had mine now for 10+ years and no issues whatsoever.

You might be thinking of the Borla exhaust? That one for me is one of my favourites.

Hey all. I've recently picked up a very clean 07 GT. I'd like to upgrade the exhaust but since I'm an old guy, I don't want something too loud, just enough to sound threatening. Any consensus on which system would give me the great tone without passing off my neighbours?

Mazdaspeed 3 exhaust cheep, legal, and adds little rumble also it should bolt right up if you have a hatch. I am unsure about sedans for that year

I have a 2010 gt hatch and I love it sounds great and not excessively loud only issue I had was the guy before me had it on a sedan which requires the tips to be extended to so I had to shorten them back up to fit better

If you decide to go that route I have one I could part with off a first gen speed

    OEM speed3 muffler

Or a magnaflow weld-in - Keep your factory resonator and you’ll be ok

If you're just going for sound, you can just remove the muffler and replace it a straight pipe. Got mine done @ GT Custom Exhaust and it sounds very aggressive. Paired with my new PRM intake, she sounds like a beast @ WOT. Cheers!

2012 mazda 2.0L ....Im running Corksport Cat back & CAI with MSDS headers
(replacing the old Cats with a High Flow ...probably will change exhaust note)
It does run quiet under 3K revs and gets louder mid range to redline.
Does have a deep note...check out the 2.3 and 2.5L dual exhaust on ytube.
