Checked out a speed3

So im looking for a gen1 speed3. Just looking for some thoughts and opinions on this one.

It was 07 with 180k.
Seems to drive well and pulls. Engine sounded fine.

Mods..short ram intake and blow off.
Everything else stock

Only thing concerning was the oil dipstick. It was really dark..

And this is how the oil cap looked.



Seems thick and dark. Should i be concerned about this?

Have a compression test done on it...

Thanks. I want to do one but this guy being stubborn with letting me take it to a mechanic. Which i know is a bad sign..but he said hes fine with a mechanic coming to his place and doing whatever he needs to do.. sigh

I would just be straight up and tell him, car goes to a mechanic or no purchase and leave it at that. Either he will budge and want to make the sale, or you know something's wrong with the car. Every car I have ever purchased, even from a used car dealership, has gone to my mechanic for a inspection before purchase.

The oil is darker, but it's not milkshake coloured, or foam stuck to the cap. I would suggest getting it checked over. I didn't when I got mine, but I got lucky, and had 180psi across all 4 cylinders.

compression check and leak down test will tell you the condition of the engine.

RP would be darker right? Though not sure if that dark.

Like everyone else else suggested compression test
