    Default Front window Vinyl Help

    Hey Everyone,

I opened my door today and did not realize how close I was to the cement pillar. In the end it looks like I ripped the vinyl they use on the window frame. It is very small and not worried about the white underneath as that is the paint on my car rather than the frame.

All I trying to do is hide the white and ensure water does not get under the vinyl and make it bubble. I am thinking Black touch up paint or black nail polish.

This is on my Subaru but it's the same as my Mazda. Hoping someone can offer some options besides replacing the vinyl. It's cheap and somewhat easy but so think they will install it as perfectly as the factory.

    Thanks T

Nail polish will wear out, use a proper touch up pen.

It's vinyl and doesn't look factory. Have the piece redone or leave it as is. I wouldn't use touch up paint to fix a tear in vinyl. If you ever remove the vinyl you'll then have the opposite problem except it'll be painted permanently, or at least be a much bigger hassle to reverse.

If you want to try and touch up I'd try to apply a small amount of plasti-dip to the area with a small brush or something

Excellent idea. Where do I get this stuff in Toronto. I am assuming you mean the spray can and just spray it on something and use a brush? As for taking it off how easy is that?

    Thanks T
