Default alas, trading my Mazda3 for a Subaru Forester

Well the time has come to move up to a family sized car.

I must part with my precious 2008.5 Mazda3 GT, at 110,000 KM, in exchange for a 2017 Subaru Forester.

Yes, we looked at the Mazda CX-5 but for the money, it doesn't have as much space and tech in it.

Does anyone here have or can speak of experience with a Subaru Forester?

And does anyone wanna buy a set of stainless steel brake lines fit for a mazda3 2008 gen? (will likely do a sale thread later)

I miss my 09 Forester. It was fantastic. Roomy, great in the snow, decent fuel economy, the manual was great and overall a very roomy car. Unfortunately a month later buying it (this is after I sold my 3 after 9.5 years) an 06 3 GS rear ended it in Toronto and wrote it off. I now have a 2013 Outback and one of the problems I'm having is the oil burning as the motors are not the same from my old one (EJ255 to FB25). But I still enjoy it and it comes in a 6spd which is nice. Especially with a child and a dog. Although I wish I bought another forester. Absolutely go for it man. You'll love it. Just avoid the CVT in my opinion. I've heard people have issues with it as well when I had a rental crosstrek when my Outback was in the shop the cvt wasn't great.
