    Default 215/70/r16 will it fit

Hey guys been lurking around for a bit and decided to post.

    I have a 2010 Mazda 3 GS sport

I've been offered tires and rims 215/70/r16 in size and I know they are alittle big but they are in great condition. So I'm wondering if they will fit on the front without tire rub?

That side wall is way too tall.

Too big, if you go up in rim size then you need to go down in tire diameter... example: if you have a 16 inch rim the wheel size is 55, if you go up to an 18 you will have a size 40 or 45R... if you do a 70 on a 16 inch rim for one it may not fit, but your speedometer will be way out of wack.

Also, for the rims: need to figure in the offset and bolt pattern.

215 70 would give you a speed error of roughly 10%, this would affect your probability of more tickets (lol) and also fool the ECU and Airbag computer too much for some important functions such as ABS, traction and proper air bag deployment times. No bueno

Go with 205/65-16 instead, 6.5 % error, and lower engine RPM.

    It won't fool the ECU.
