    Default nasty power draw

Hey guys, I've got 2005 mazda3 with a dead battery. I've gotten 3 new batteries over the last 4 months because they keep dying on me. I went to a mechanic to see if there was a draw somewhere, and they said that there NO DRAW however they couldn't tell me why the battery was dying every night.

If there isn't a power draw? what could it be?

Do you have a dash cam or any other electronics added ? Have you had your alternator checked ? Perhaps the alternator is not charging the battery as you drive.

do you do a series of short trips only?

I had trouble with my speed3 not charging the battery because I wasn't driving for long enough each time

I do not have any additional features like cameras or stereos.

Also the mechanics checked the alternator and said that it was fine.

I typically would drove about 15 minutes one way, then 15 minutes back each day. Just to and from work. I did this regularly from about 2 months and then i started having problems where the battery would die every night.

thanks for your answers guys, hope this information helps

Take it to another mechanic? 3 batteries in 4 months tells me that there is an issue somewhere. My guess is the alternator but that was ruled out. But get a second opinion.

You have to either have a draw somewhere or a bad alternator. The only other option is that you've had 3 bad batteries in a row - not likely to be the case.
