    Post 2018 Honda Civic Si

    Hey all,

Just wondering what your thoughts are on the new Honda civic line up; specifically the new SI. The torque numbers have unofficially been released at 192lb-ft torque. Do you think the SI will be worth it as the regular sport model has 177? The numbers seem close and possibly not worth the extra cost. Why would they make the gap between the SI and type R so extreme?

For 2018 models, I would go with type R.

Ultimately test drive both models and make your decision afterwards.
Personally, I would chose the Type R but not much of a fan of the styling. If you don't mind a right-hand drive vehicle, there's a 2001 Honda Integra Type R available here.

To my opinion, the numbers for the now-a-date cars are useless... My previous car is 2008 Mazda 3 hatch, which I think it should be the last generation vehicles (no CVT, no SkyActive, no turbo, no dual-clutch...), and I bought a new B250 for my wife, which is turbo, 7 speed dual-clutch, 208HP(!), 258lb-ft(!!)... What an unbelievable slow when you move the car from stop... It's fast after 70km/h, very powerful and fast after 130km/h...but we almost drive the car in the city, what I need is 0 to 50km fast... not the over 200km on the German highway.

While I shopped for this new-a-date car, I did lots of homework and trial some other cars... in order to save your gas, all are the same. The transmission is the major key elements you need to think about and test drive.

So, I think maybe you need an over performance (on the numbers) cars, or a manual gear box.

For Honda... even you buy an V6 powered Accord coupe, you got the same CVT... so smooooooth CVT... happy now?!

Nice kept original Integra Type-R! Can't believe it's born in year 2001, 16 (maybe 17) years ago... This is the true Type-R...

RightDrive seems to get their hands on some really good conditioned cars.
Other vehicles in their current inventory:

    1996 Land Rover Defender 110 – Reserved ; Diesel; 285,300 KM; UK import 33KCND

1982 Mazda RX-7 – Left Hand Drive; 132,000 KM; 18KCND apparently no rust and never winter driven
