Battery for 2010 Mazda 3 GT 2.5L

Hi guys !
Been looking at some batteries on the internet and seems a lot of people like the Optima Yellow / Red battery !? ...I look up these kinds of batteries at Canadian Tire "on-line" and WHOA !!! $314.00 + $20.00/Core + HST for the Yellow Top model and $224.00 +$20.00/Core +HST for the Red Top !! I almost had a mild-stroke looking at these numbers..Too Rich for my blood & wallet!! Anyways, can someone recommend a good battery for $150.00 and under for my sons 2010 Mazda 3 / 2.5L ? I believe we can fit 24F and 35 size car batteries in these vehicles ..From what I have read, the dimensions of the OEM Panasonic (LxWxH) = 9"-L X 6 3/4"-W X 7 3/4"-H ???

24F...... 10 3/4"....... 6 13/16"...... 9" Any suggestions on a good battery is much appreciated !!

Get the costco one. It's proven. Even if you don't have a membership, cost of membership+battery is damn near the same as the walmart battery. But then you'll also have a costco membership for a year...

Make sure it's 24F and not 24. Pretty sure they are different sizes.
Got mine from CAA. Called them up when my battery died and did it on the spot.

I have friend that has a membership studum !! I think this is the safest and most economical way to go ! Thanks for the input buddy !!

Picked up the recommended Kirkland battery last night at Costco. Fitment Code 28 / Group Size 24F / $93.00 +$10.00 Core Charge / 700 CCA & 875 Reserve ...More powerful then the OEM battery and the best bang for the buck in comparison to the other batteries I was looking at for the Mazda 3 GT / 2.5L ! Hopefully I get many years of good performance from this battery !! Just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to the guys who replied to this thread and steered me in the proper direction + saved me some bucks !! Cheers Guys !

PS....Lots of these 24F size batteries are available at the Costco store in Ancaster, Ontario !!

! The Mazda 2.5L from 2010-2013 were all the same as far as I know. I do not believe Mazda changed the battery size throughout these years. The OEM battery is a group 35 from my 2010 and the 24F is a larger size battery that will fit in place of the OEM Group 35, supplying more CCA and more reserve ! Fit like a Glove !!

PS: There is a group 24 battery as well...DO NOT CONFUSE the 24F with the 24 !! The 24F is the group you want !!

I grabbed 28 24F earlier. Fits perfect in the car! Thank you sir.
