    Default Hard starting

I'm starting to get a hard starting issue where at times I have to push the gas a little to get the vehicle to start, it turns over fine and once it's started it runs and idles fine too. Just wanted some input before I start replacing parts, any advice would be great, thanks in advance! I have a 2007 Mazda 3 2.0.

Not sure what the actually does on our cars. I'd suggest some spark plugs instead.

Wondering if your battery is getting old that or spark plugs are my guess to start

Battery a good guess. Might actually be more likely than plugs.

My Costco 24F works great. Just replaced original Panasonic in my 2008.5.

Battery is always my first go to diagnostically for starting or running issues... Could be as simple as a poor battery contact. After that's ruled out then let's go into the harder and more expensive stuff to replace. Yes I realize that plugs are cheap and easy..But they're not that easy or cheap on all vehicles

And there is to point in replacing things unnecessary. The contact thing is a great point too. I had a starter issue a cpl years ago and it was a contact issue (corrosion. Because. Canada.)

I think I have the same issue with my horn right now. Haven't bothered to figure it all out. Checked the fuses and relays, and those work. Anyways, I digress

People should spend more time reading closely what the OP states. He stated "it turns over fine" So, unlikely its your battery or connections to it. Also unlikely its your plugs, but an outside chance. I would suggest its fuel related. If it occurs only occasionally it could possibly be your purge solenoid valve, which is a common issue with these cars.
