    Default one side of rear wheel free spins faster?

    when i was at the mazda dealer for an oil change on my 07 Mazda 3 gt the service advisor said my right rear caliper was starting to seize. so i got home and jacked up the rear wheels and spun both sides with the parking brake off and the right side made less turns than the left side. so i thought sure enough it's starting to seize so i bought a new caliper and installed it. bled the brakes and it's the exact same thing. what could cause this? can the parking brake cable seize and not fully release?

    If you want to make completely sure, take both calipers off and try the same test. You could also have one wheel bearing that more worn than the other, causing the excess friction. If you have a seized caliper, then you'd more than likely see a host of other problems (poor wear, possibly over heating). Have someone pull the parking brake while you have the wheels off and observe the bell-crank on each caliper. Make sure they're moving about the same.

    Yes, parking brake can stick. Corrosion in the cables is the most common reason.

    Well I just adjusted my parking brake cable and ran out of adjustment so I guess the cable is stretched and needs to be replaced. So I don't think that it is sticking. I would have to remove the caliper or just the pads and bolt the wheel back up and spin it, then I could tell if it's the brakes that are hanging.

    If it is still spinning fairly easy it shouldn't be much of an issue. A wheel bearing you will start to hear get louder in the rear. If there isn't excessive brake pad wear then I wouldn't be concerned.
