    Default airbag light

    Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum and need some help.
I changed the seats in my '04 mazda 3 gs and now the airbag and passenger airbag lights are on. I believe I left key on while doing the swap (stupid I now know). I Googled some videos which said to disconnect battery and wait 30 mins., didn't help. The car was not in any accidents, and wasn't on before the swap. I checked to make sure the harnesses are reinstalled properly. Any ideas? Wondering if anyone in the Bradford/Barries area has a scan tool to reset the code? Or if there is any other option than going to the dealer.
    Help would be appreciated
    Thanks in advance
    E

On mine I swapped seats from an 06 into my 07, the seats from the 06 had no airbags like the original ones did so I put a resistor in the harness under the seat to match the resistance of the airbag and now I no longer have the light.

I soldered 2 resistors to make 2.4 ohms and put heatshink over them, then I put the pins on the wires so it plugs straight into the harness. It would also work if you have one 2.4 ohm resistor and plugged It into the harness.

Just check under the seat and see if there's any difference in where the wires are in your old seats wiring harness and the ones you swapped in.
