Lost my key!

Hey,
Just lost my one and only key to my 3... what do I do now?? Please help asap! Thanks!

Update: called Mazda, car would have to be towed to their dealer to make a new key, trying to retrace all my steps, it's not like I mis placed it. I work at a construction site so most likely got swept up or something

Updated update: drove back to the supplier in a work van, found it in the parking lot... going to Canadian tire to get another one cut (Canadian tire in Guelph cuts chip keys for 100$)

Yikes! Call a dealership and see if they can program a key right away...have your VIN handy.

If you have push start, I think key , fob, and programming is ~$300-$400 from the dealer . There are third party companies, but lowest cost I have seen is ~$250. I have been trying to find a used key fob online to save money, but no luck yet.
If you can find a replacement fob online, then a replacement key and programming is only around $100-$150.

I remember seeing a fob on Kijiji for $100 a lil while back let me check to see if it's still there.

I didn't find it but a quick search on eBay turned up one for $45 plus 15 shipping , that's the cheapest of the lot I could find unfortunately it wont let me share the link on Tapatalk.

I think that's just for the faab, I had called Mazda before, and they said it's like 150$ for just a key, to get a whole new remote, and key, was over 400$. I went to Canadian tire and got a key cut for 100&, chip and all. The car doesn't even have to be there. So why does Mazda need the car there to use? I feel like getting a key through Mazda is a complete rip off

Yes. That key is my main key. Works ever day for the past 3 months. It's the only key I have. My Mazda key broke, I only got one when I bought the car used.

The key has to be programmed to the car. I doubt CT will or can do that

I have been using the key Canadian tire cut for me for the last few months... I do not have a Mazda key anymore. Canadian tire programmes my key, and cut it ( it's a chip key) it gets me in the door AND it starts my ignition and I can drive with it for as long as I want.

Yup. If you have two valid chip keys you can program a third yourself. If you only have one key you need will to get the dealer involved.
