Default 2010 Mazda3 Headlights are hazy? Recall? Fix? Buy?

Hey guys my 2010 mazda3 hatch headlights are becoming really hazy.
I read some where about a recall but I don't think mine are HID lights? Also should I try to fix by sealing them again or just buy new HID's? I tried the plastic clearner and that didn't work haven't tried to sand it down yet. Thanks

Day time pics would be better.
I'd suggest a headlight restoration kit from Canadian Tire. The Meguiars 3 stage works very well.
    If you'd like hid's I have them for $150.

My dad thinks it could be the heat from the DRL? Maybe he is right? Is just the bulb 150 or for the entire headlight as well? I was going to pull the bumper and reseal the light? Is that a good idea? Thanks

There is a known issue with the 2010 headlights. Not a recall but a service bulletin. Dealer should be able to warranty the lights. Can't find the original thread right now, but there are may on the issue.
The heat from the DRL damages the housing.

I doubt you'll get warranty as it was not an active recal. The recal you are referring to was a resistor they put in to the DRL Circuit. Long story short it didn't really fix anything. I went with led lights, but my headlights are xenon which encorporate the high beams with the low beams. If you go LED you may lose functionality of your high beams. Considering the car is 7 years old, probably won't help. All it is, is a mist inside the headlight. If you take it apart yourself, it can be cleaned up, but resealing them afterwards is no walk in the park

IMO those just look like 8 year old lights and really don't look bad at all. Road rash is just something that happens.

So after taking the bumper off, the dealership told me to bring it in, reinstalled the bumper to have them say it's not covered for a recall or anything. They offered to install new lights at their price and wave the labour fee if submitted a form to Mazda Canada. However, I think an aftermarket set up may be best. I probably won't tackle this for awhile

Maybe I'll just buff them out but from the daytime they don't look too bad for 2010

    You cannot buff this out
As I have said before this is a dust and can only be cleaned by opening the headlight assembly

The drl recall wasn't for your headlights, only for the xenon.

I had to do a 1000 -> 1500 -> 2000 Grit sanding, followed by plastic polishing then two coats of clear coat. They look beautiful now!

I have a 2010 speed and got my headlights replaced at dixie Mazda because of service bulletin. Advisor told me as long as it's under 120,000km or 7 years which ever comes first. It's covered
