Interesting, the front turn signals and the side markers use the same bulbs...I might have to give VisionBulbs another call.

That is not possible. The bulb is just as big as the side marker if not larger.

Don\'t go by that guide like its the bible, it looks like they are using a different bulb coding possibly also (maybe european?) as well but that side marker bulb type is definately wrong.

2825 is a wedge based bulb known as 194.

    1 :p

Seriously though, the 9005 bulbs are for low beams and the 9006 are for high beams.

different tabs on the connectors, although they can be filed down.

the base with the o-ring on the bulb is smaller on the 9005.

9006 has a silver covering on the tip, the 9005 doesn\'t.

you can modify a 9005 bulb to fit in a 9006 housing, not sure of vice versa (although i doubt it since since the 9006 o-ring base probably won\'t fit into the 9005 housing).

It\'s totally self-do-able. I know that much. If I have time, I\'ll do a writeup on it. Unless someone beats me to it.

Can someone confirm this before I change the first post?

Isn\'t the Turn Signal and the Taillight (non-LED) a 7440 bulb and not a 7443?

It\'s just a regular single and doulbe filament large peanut bulb.

I\'m talking about the REAR signals and taillights. Sorry, I should have been more specific.

Sylvania\'s site (and the Biz) say that the brake lights are 7443, not 7440. The turnsignals are 7440.

Bringing this one back from the dead.

I have a burnt out brake light on a 2005 hatch (drivers side). I'm confused as to what each of the following are:

    Tail brake light (non-LED)
    7443

    Stop light
    7440

    High mount stop light
    921

I assume I need the 7443 bulb. I'm aslo assuming that 921 is for the hatch spoiler and 7440 is for the sedan trunk. Can someone help me out.

Also, mods, should this thread be stickied in the Lighting, Electrical & Security or Electrical section?
    Is not here
