2010 Black Mazdaspeed 3 - Lightly modded
Finally... Really exited for this
There is definitely a pent up demand for it... Also a lot of online cynicism as diesel has apparently been promised in the past.

Interesting. As a diesel newbie, I had completely forgotten to account for the DEF.
What sort of consumption is typical to this sort of vehicle?

Finger inching closer to pulling the trigger, just unsure of whether it'll be worthwhile to wait and "hope" that the sky-d gets released soon...
Been shopping around for pricing on the '17, trying to convince the wife it's worth the extra money for a GT
Canadian dealer has already taken 2 pre-orders. They are scheduled to start assembling them in January with delivery expected end of Feb or early March. Pricing is approx. $3k cdn above 2.5l gas engine.

I am sure Jeff will chime in.
I spoke with someone briefly to get preliminary numbers while I was out in Waterloo months ago, just out of curiosity, and was then recently dragged over to another dealer by surprise by the aforementioned friend, so everything was kind of on the fly Heck, I thought we were going to drive the Corolla into the ground, but apparently my wife has "standards"...
I don't suppose you can provide pricing details about the '18 via PM? I assume you mean that it has the same upgrades as the '17.
Pricing hasn't been disclosed yet for the 2018s but it has been confirmed that the Diesel will be an additional $3k or so above the normal 2018s.
The 2018 CX5 will have a few upgrades from the 2017s
- SkyActiv-G 2.5L will have cylinder deactivation and enhanced combustion technology. Further details to follow
- GS/GT will also now have Pedestrian detection as part of the SCBS
- GX will now include: SCBS, ABSM, RCTA, auto lights, auto wipers and also a newly available iActivsense pkg
-Eternal Blue to be added to the colour pallet
Have the official horsepower, torque and fuel economy numbers been released for the diesel engine? I've seen numbers ranging from 185/310 to 175/280 and 5.4L/100km.
