    Default Red Tinted Taillights

I read that blacked out/smoked taillights reduce visibility and can be considered illegal.

What about red tinted taillights. Are those illegal in Ontario?

I don't think it should be, because the lights are red anyway, but I could be wrong.

Are you going to tint them redder than red?

Came in hoping the OP's question wouldn't be as vapid as the thread title.

    Leaving disappointed.

As long as there is a reflective property, and the reverse lighting isn't effected or colour changed , you'll be okay

I used a DupliColor MetalCast red on my old Gen1

I haven't had an issue, I just put a little strip of tape when I painted where the reverse light is so that it still shines thru the little window white
