    Default Condensation in HID headlights

I have condensation in both front headlights in my 2011 MS3 . I think the condensation is causing my passenger side HID headlight to work intermittently . It only works in the afternoon/evening after most of the moisture evaporates from the inside of the lense . Has anyone re-sealed the headlights ? Should I use caulking ?

I plan on removing both headlights and ballasts , putting in my basement beside my dehumidifier to dry out .

I'm just unsure of how to seal it well .

Talk to Hyperion. He's an expert on headlights and that sort of stuff.

Bah don't use Caulking. The sealant (butyl) that's in there is fine.
Chances are it's a loose bulb causing the problem. The moisture could definitely be causing the issue.
Depending on the amount of accumulation in the headlights, simply removing the bulbs and blowing warm air in for an hour could do the job. But if there's a small puddle in the bottom it will need to be opened and cleaned.

Should they need to be opened and you're not confident, I offer the service for $100 for the single light and I'll make sure it comes back oem clean, 99% free of any water spots you've accumulated.
Modifications? I've forgotten more than I remember. Click here for the list.

Thanks , I will buy new turn signal bulbs to see if it's just the seal there . The dust caps on the back where the hid is are both in good condition . I'll try that and go from there.

Alternatively, if you want a complete reseal, you could use this http://www.gtaretrofits.com/shop/hid...butyl-sealant/
