Default Anybody running 225/50R-17 on their 2016 or similar Mazda 3 GT?

Just wondering if anybody is running this non-stock rim and tire size on their Mazda 3 GT. I have 215/45R-18 and find them a little rough. Not terrible, but I wonder if I would have preferred 225/50R17. They are within a few mm in diameter and also would be slightly wider. I imagine they should fit. Just wondering if anybody is running this size and do you like it?

I run 225/50/17 in winter and 235/40/18 in summer.
I will need new winters next february. They look better on the wheels I have for winter, RTX Envy, and I have not had a problem with them, other than they are wearing out faster than they should.
