Default Waxing/Clay bar to get the Rust Specks out?

    Hey everyone,

I just called Wash Me Now to see what they could do for me to buff those little rust specks that form on white cars and they said 350.

Just curious if anyone has had this service performed before else where for a better price and quality?

    Thanks,

Get iron x or something similar and do it yourself. No clay barring needed.

I mean if the car needs to be clay barred then fine but that's a waste of time and resources to pay to have them removed. I clayed them out once and never did that again. Way too much work.

Default Waxing/Clay bar to get the Rust Specks out?

That’s a decontamination detail. Find out what they will actually do.
The usual ways of getting rid of rail dust is Iron X (or similar - stinks), or clay bar or both. 350 sounds reasonable for both with a wax or sealant at the end.
You could also give a TM3 sponsor a call for a quote:

Very insightful, I will get in touch with Hamza as well then, my only gripe is I am storing it for the winter in a couple weeks. Didn't want to spend 350 for it to sit in the garage haha. But, if it must be done, I will do it.

+1 for iron x/decon from chemical guys. I always go over affected areas with a clay bar afterwards

+1 for ironx. plus, i use a claybar mitt. not as detailed as an actual clay bar, but gets the job 100x faster. prevention is the best protection!

They are all the same. I personally prefer the actual clay bars as opposed to the synthetic clay blocks and clay mits as I find they pick up more with lesser passes

thanks. in my younger days (child free days), i would definitely go the regular clay bar route but with 2 little ones running around, time is a scarce resource... it's getting harder to devote an entire day detailing... so i'm always looking for other options!
