    Smile Windshield wiper recommendation

    Hello,

I am in the market for some windshield wipers as the replacements on mine (after 1 year) is no longer doing its job in keeping my windshield clear. So it's time to replace those and get better ones. The current ones are the economy ones from Canadian Tire and now I am in the market for something better.

If you know any brands or places that I should check out, please let me know.

    Thanks a million!

The bosch icon wipers are very good, also Sillblade is a great option. Both are ~$20-$30 per blade.

i use the factory blades i have a 2010 but i get the blade from the newer 3 the more flex style then just the metal skeleton ones that came on mine from factory. they do a very good job. also used to use the reflex blades before on my old car. never had a problem there. ( and if you buy from crappy tire theres ways to get free blades every year... ) and my parents and inlaws use the blades from costco Michelin blades i believe.

Ya, did some research after posting this and ya I heard bosch icons were recommended. Any idea how it will hold up in the winter months?

    Default Windshield wiper recommendation

PIAA Super Sporza Silicone Blades. Best wipers out there. I bought a pair for my 2010 in 2011 and they still work great. Crazy!!

Edit: it seems these may be discontinued. Probably replaced with PIAA super silicone blades.

The Michelin ones from Costco seem decent in my experience. Not an uber blade, but good bang for the buck. Should be about $35ish for two.

I personally get them off rock auto. You can go as low as $4 for a pair but $15 gets you a decent pair. However I plan ahead and order them with parts when I need to.

Actually, cost is $9.49 each for all sizes ($18.98 + HST=$21.45). Have them on my 09 and work great for me. They usually last 9 months. I use RainX so they don't get used as often as untreated windscreen.

Thanks for the correction; I was going solely on memory.

Hi and back to this thread.

Can anyone confirm the size for a 2013 mazda 3 sedan windshield wiper? Googled it and it is telling me 24" driver side and 19" passenger side. Just want to confirm before buying.

    Thanks so much!!

If you don't believe it, take a tape measure to your blades.

I just buy the oem ones from Mazda and I paid $15 for both last year. I change them once every 9 months.

That sounds like a waste... Buy a quality pair and they last longer than 9 months. My Piaa supers cost like $70 but have lasted 5 years now of streak free wiping.

    Probably a lucky set

Usually gotta change mine every year. But really just depends on my tolerance for streakiness. LOL

My father doesn’t change his blades until they’re torn - drives me ****ing insane

Don’t think so. I think Hyperion and I bought it at the same time from NextMod (in a time when group buys were a thing on TM3 - once upon a time). Mine are still going strong. I think ours were made in the land of JDM so quality is super high. Lol.

Yup. Got them from Nextmod. Most likely in a GB. They were definitely "on sale"

I use to buy quality pairs, but I still changed them within 12 months as the streaking and lack of cleaning got worse and the rubber dried out. It is easier to just replace them once a year and I do not have any streaking on my windshield.

PIAA Super Sporza Silicone Blades are amazing, though expensive.

According to Nextmod though, they no longer make this specific kind, at least for the 3. I'm sure you can find old stock somewhere but the last time I went to get them, they couldn't get them.

The ones I'm talking about had the deflector on it where as the new ones do not.

These have lasted me 2-3 years previously but that was without retreating the windshield. I'm sure they could have lasted longer with retreating.
