Default Air mode selector "sticking" in couple positions.

    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the strange issue I have with air mode selector. It seems to be "binding" or "sticking" in in couple of locations:
    1. Dashboard & floor (approx. 10 o'clock)
    2. Windshield & floor. (approx. 2 o'clock).

The odd thing is that previous 2006 M3 (I got rid of it 2 weeks ago) and one (2008) I purchased last week have exactly the same issue. Both were manual controls.
Before I take it apart - did anybody experienced similar issue and if so what was the issue?

    Thanks,

    Bez.

It's possible that you have an obstruction in the actual airway that is blocking a damper from moving. The cables connecting to the knobs may also be kinked or seized. It'll have to come apart, either way!
