Default A shot in the dark.

I already posted this over on MSF, but I want to try here too.

I'm trying to contact the current owner of the true red 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 I bought new in 2007 and owned for 5 years. I found the VIN using my memory and a picture I had where most of it was visible. I got a carproof report. The person who owns it now has it registered in Canmore, Alberta, Canada. They were registered as a new owner on January 24th 2013 and has owned it since then. A month after they bought it they had a $3k repair estimate put through insurance. Other then that, nothing comes up in the report up until now but they have been renewing the license yearly so I know it is still around.

If anyone knows anyone with a 2008 red MS3 in the Canmore, Alberta area can you please direct them to this thread? Also any advice on how to be able to contact them, I would greatly appreciate it. My google skills are crap and I couldn't find anything useful on that.

    Thanks.

Considering offering to buy it if the person is interested at all in selling. Also a general curiosity on how it has fared over the years.

I never wanted to sell it, but was convinced to by someone who is no longer with me. For sentimental value, I would love to have it back some day.

Actually, I just had a little chat with the guy who bought my 07 CWP 2 years ago.
I got a free carproof and ran a check with the VIN# of my old MS3 for fun. I realized he just sold it 2 weeks ago, I messaged him and talked a little bit. lol

Perhaps you can contact your buyer who bought your TR MS3 few years ago and see if he kept the contact of the buyer of that MS3. (consider that there is no other seller or buyers in between)

On a side note. I would just let it go. The car will not be the same after you sold it. You will not feel the same neither. I will be happy to have it for a ride again one day, but not to own it again.
I would move on, there are tons of better stuff out there.
