I'm looking at installing an 2000W inverter in my trunk and wondering if anyone has done this and has any tips like where to run the wires to the battery/alternator? I've looked for guides but haven't been able to find anything Mazda 3 specific.

Also is it possible to wire it up to the fuse box under the passenger seat so I don't have to drill through the firewall?
If you're planning on using the 2000W inverter to its max potential, then you're looking at pulling 166A (even pulling 1000W is a ton of power). You won't be doing that off of ANY of the fuse panels, and obeying ampacity rules, you'd need to run #0 cable to it. That's gotta come right off of the battery (fused). Either punch a hole in the firewall with an appropriate grommet or get a smaller inverter. The problem with too large of an inverter is that one day, you'll accidentally pull a whole ton of power and melt/set fire to things.
Practically speaking, if you're not prepared to go through the firewall, stay below 250W. You won't want to pull more than 20-25A off of a cabin fuse panel. I mounted a 450W in my trunk with #8 cable going to it and it was directly wired to the battery.
