    Default Bubble of rust - B Pillard rear door driver

    I have a start of rust b pillar rear door .

    I just want to know the best way to solve this ... I know Mazda 3 GEN1 rust at this place a lot ...

    i need to remove the vinyl black layer and after remove the rust, sand it, bondo, primer and paint

    Use some rust inhibitor before you bondo so it doesn't come back.

    Everything else seems in order.

    How effective is tremclad rust paint/spray for spraying on top of the rust? It claims to stop the further spread of rust.

    In my experience spraying 'on top' of rust is useless. You should remove the rust completely first, or as best as possible, and on a finished surface spray Tremclad.

    Yes. I agree. Common sense suggests that. Initially I recall seeing commercials that show spraying over existing rust. I was wondering if this spray worked in anyway for areas which aren't easy to get to.
