My wife & I bought a used Mazda3 five years ago, and bought the extended warranty for it for 6 years or 160K. This car now has about 124K on it and is running fine. There is, however, one minor concern with its automatic transmission. Sometimes when I slow down in traffic, i.e. from say 80 km/h to 50-60 km/h, there is a very minor clunk or jerk in the transmission. It's practically unnoticeable except I notice it b/c I drive this car so much. Still, I could be imagining this. (I'm getting my mechanic to check it out next week).
We have 2 Mazda3's and are totally pleased with them. Very reliable and anything that has gone wrong has been minor (there are a couple things with their design we don't like, but I won't go into that here!).
This warranty expires soon. I just found out that -- if the warranty has not been used -- you can get a full refund. This seems hard to believe and I was wondering if anyone on this forum had any suggestions or advice re getting this refund. Or maybe it's very simple and just a matter of applying for it?
Happy to provide more details if necessary.
Thanks in advance.
