Default 2015 Mazda 3 GS - A/C knob not functioning, can't turn heat on

Anyone ever heard of this? Yesterday I noticed my vents were blowing cool air despite being turned to the highest heat setting. I then realized if I tried to turn the dial all they way to the coldest setting, I encounter significant resistance halfway through the cold section. I can force it all the way but then is pushes back to that initial resistance point. Anyone ever hear of this happening?

I googled and found this: https://mazda.oemdtc.com/120/air-tem...14-2015-mazda3
Does that mean there's a TSB out? I called my nearest dealer and earliest they can get me in is next Thursday. Gonna try calling around to see if I can get somewhere earlier since I drive a lot for work and need to drive to Cambridge this weekend and would rather not do it in an icebox.

    Cheers

Also might be worth mentioning; just had the parking brake recall addressed a few weeks ago, and for that I believe there's some disassembly of the centre console involved.. I wonder if that's connected.

    Fixed it!

A brand-new user PMed me with a solution saying it had happened to him before. I'll write it out here for anyone else searching this out:

Open the glove box, depress the sides so that the stoppers clear and you can open it a couple more inches. If you shine a light in and to the left, you'll see a white assembly. There is a big white circular gear (for the different air modes) and behind it a smaller white assembly pulled by a cable. Move the temperature dial and you'll see it move. There's a knob on the front left of this that needs to connect to another small white assembly that you can barely see behind the big white circular gear. Push the temperature knob all the way to cold and as you do so, push the small white assembly on the cable to the right just enough so the knob gets back in place with the almost hidden piece. Ta-da! It should now be re-connected and work properly.
