2011 manual transmission leak-where?

Looking at high mileage Mazda 3 hatchback today and it looked like the transmission was leaking a fluid that looked like engine oil [yellow]. Didn't seem to be coming from the bottom, but the top, or close to the top of the manual transmission. Is this common? What color is the manual trans fluid?
Might have been the left output shaft seal. Is that an easy fix? Pull shaft, pry out seal and re-assemble?
These cars sure do drive nice !

After viewing some youtube videos I have come to the conclusion that this oil must be the result of the left axle seal leaking. Looks like a simple axle pull and seal pop out/hammer in.
