Default PreFab / Custom Cold Air Box

    Hey Guys
Snowy cold weather and I start thinking of what i got left to do.....Anyone have a cold air box for 2nd Gen Mazda? Where is from?

This is another thing on my Mazda 3 to do list. I know Corksport used to have one available (only Gen 3 & Miata now....https://corksport.com/2014-mazda-3-m...d-air-box.html ). My idea is to shield the CAI and to bring in cold air from the front left (Fog Light) Panel. I have a GX so no Fogs there just a plastic panel i can punch out completely or drill out some of the plastic and direct air (with metal drier flex ventilation tubing) and connect to the Box. I may just make it myself from an Aluminum sheet. Winter project ....

    Update:
Have Been thinking about a cold air box for a Mazda 3 2.0L (this may also work for 2.3 speeds and 2.5
and if you dont have Fog lights installed) . The Fog light location panel (no fogs on GX) can be removed
and /or modified to create an entrance for a intake velocity stack ( 3" intake to 3" /3.5/4") connected
to a silicone ducting up to the CAI (with or without a box). Without a box outside air just would feed CAI
from below it. In essence a direct cold air feed to the CAI and driver side engine bay.
Now i just have to do one...easier said than done.

HaHa... Look at what I found that SHOULD fit Mazda 3 (not sure about speed) Airaid 100-262 Universal Cold Air box
This should work with what Im planning to do with a Velocity stack intake through front left (fog Light panel)
    https://www.airaid.com/search/product.aspx?prod=100-262

Box alone also available $135usd product number AIR-KIT301-CAB (can only be order over the phone)
