I was cleaning the headlights on my 2010 GT Mazda 3 as they were hazy when I noticed that the inside is also hazy.
Does anyone know if they can be opened and the insides polished?

You have to bake them to get the glue apart....there are a lot of DIY videos out there. Those look like they have been sanded with a coarse grit paper and then not yet finished with the cleaning process. Are you sure you have done all the steps?
Thank. I'll check out the videos.
Yes it was done correctly as I've done this on my other cars in the past. What you see there is actually on the inside.
Based on my research this seem to have been a problem with the stock HID projector on the 2010 models.

So for anyone with the same problem you can use methanol to clean the inside of the headlights without opening them. I'll post some pictures of the cleaner headlights soon .

It's been over a year since I posted this. Just wanted to give an update on the headlights. As you can see they are still clear after the cleaning.

I never opened them to clean it. All I did was pour the methanol in the housing and kept it sloshing around the inside of the lens only. I tried to keep it away from all chrome parts of the inside of the lens.
