Hey guys other then the OEM sensors what other options do I have? Was trying to get an aftermarket sensor as good or better and trying to save a few dollars. Any suggestions?
Thx

According to Mazda, they do not actually use a monitor in the tire. (At least not in the 2018)
They use the abs wheel speed sensors to gauge if the tire is low. Not exactly sure how the technology works, I just remember trying to purchase monitors from our local dealer and the parts manger said they don't use sensors in the tires.

The 4th gen cars, i.e. 2019+, now all use TPMS.
This poster is 150% correct, unlike the advice given to me by users that were wrong lol! I just put my brand new winter tires on my 2019 Mazda on separate rims. And guess what the tpms warning came on!
Reddie 117, you and the place you got your info from stand to be corrected!
2019 Mazda 3 GT hatchback absolutely uses tpms in the actual tire.
