Default 2019 Mazda SD card updates

Hi guys and gals. I was wondering what the best way to update my sd card for navigation and also how to check what version I'm running?

Also can I update the head unit on the 2019 GT hatchback? Where would I check for updates and how would I do it, if possible?

    Thx

I'm new here, I'm driving a 2013 Mazda3 GX Sedan, and I'm having problems updating the map for it.

The Mazda Connect software mentioned in the post before works on previous-gen Mazda3s.

Mazda covered map update by using Mazda Connect for previous version of the SD cards for 3 years, after that you have to pay for the map update. However, there are a number of hacks to get free update you can try if you know what to do.

Those hacks, imo are brutal and quite tedious with many steps which you can easily miss or screw up. The last time I checked, sometime last year, the success rate was quite low.

With AA/CP, I don't see the point of paying to update your Mazda Maps. Google will always be updated vs Navteq maps.
