BMW Trillium Club hosts a AutoSlalom every year. See link above.
The next autoslalom time attack event will take place July 12 at the CAA Centre Brampton.
This is for all car makes not only BMW and costs $40 (2020). 4 more slalom events remain.
The 2020 season will continue with the scoring system based on SCCA’s SOLO II model, using the PAX / RTP weighting system.
Essentially, this neutralizes the power, weight, and modifications done to your car.
You’re competing on a fairly level playing field with all the other participants.
In order to participate:
1. Participants must be either a Member of BMW Clubs of Canada, PCA-UCR, or CASC-affiliate member (for insurance purposes).
2. Helmets are mandatory. Recommend Snell SA2010 or SA2015 helmets.
3. Registration for events can be done via this web site link above.
----- > Last year best time was a 2001 Mazda Miata ( almost stock )
Although the event is restricted to event participants only. There are areas behind cement barriers viewers are allowed.
1st was held June 14 with 30 participants . The course was so difficult that 2 of 30 did not qualify. You have 5 attempts to finish the slalom course.
Last years top 10 failed the 3-4 attempts. I failed 4 times. My last run was at 60% power so i could finish and not miss a gate. My time was 17 out of 30.
