Default Who specializes in Rebuilding a MZR 2.0L ?

    Hey guys

I have alot of Km's on my 2.0L and have tracked and autocrossed it alot these past years. Got me some connecting rod bearing issues.

I am looking at rebuilding a MZR 2.0L (non Sky). Do you know anyone in the GTA that specializes or has experience with the MZR 2.0L?

    Thanks
    G

If you can't find one, I looked into it a while back and found that used fairly low mileage MZR engines (mostly from crashed cars) are very easy to get for < $2000. It's also possible buying one these would be cheaper than a rebuild.

    Hey Thanks Flunk !
There are some rebuilders selling rebuilt MZR 2.0 for $2500-2800. Cant be sure what used engines have gone thru and i would spend the extra 500 for basically a brand new engine.
For me im rebuilding to compete time attack and autocross and track too. Its more of a daily drive project car and im looking at forged pistons , moving compression up to 12.5:1 or more
or keep it at 10 and possibly later supercharge.

Not specifically the MZR 2.0, but I wonder if any of the shops that build/rebuils the MS3 2.3L Turbo would take on the project.
