Mazda 3 2.5L Trims?

Currently on the hunt for a used 3rd gen Mazda 3 2.5L Hatch with manual trans.

I would prefer to have the 2.5L engine, is this only available on the GT in Canada? I'm finding mixed answers about it being available on the GS trim as an option? I may have been mistakenly been reading about the 4th gen 3?

In Canada the 2.5L is only availible in the GT trim from 2014-2018. From 2019 and beyond you can get the 2.5L in a GS trim aswell as the GT

Just bought a 2020 Mazda3 Sport GS. The 2.5L engine is a hoot compared to the 2.0 and can handle most uphill climbs while retaining the fuel economy of the 2.0.
