Transmission issues
Hey all my 2008 Mazda 3 has been having an issue for a while now. While driving the gear number and D symbol illuminated will flash on and off. The bad is when its off and comes back on it will be in a different gear and while going 80km it can be very bad cause it slams down into 4th or 3rd gear and jerks the car big time. So far we have changed the TCM and that didnt solve it. I finally gave in and brought it into the dealer and they found play in the shifter cable. So they changed the cable and pivot shifter. $700 later and their report said that solved the problem.. I drove it home and 12km into the drive it started doing the exact same thing. Has anyone else had any of these issues? I cannot find anything anywhere and still unsolved. My mechanic that switched the TCM is thinking now Inhibitor switch.
so far im 1300 into not fixing this thing.
