Mazdaspeed Short Shifter

Anyone know if the the Mazdaspeed Short Shifter for the Mazda6 (part number: GRMS-8M-H12) will work on the 3? If my memory serves me correct the 3 and the non-V6 6 share the same manual tranny.

The 3 and the 6 have completely different shift linkages so that kit won\'t work. Just get the one made for the 3 GRMS-8M-L11.

I\'m in for a SS kit. Reluctant to do TWM given the \"shift to the right\" issue.

I just spoke to Mazda and they told me the shifter can only be purchased through a U.S. Mazdaspeed dealer.

arc As far as the price goes, you\'re probably looking at least $400 plus just for the part.

I\'m just putting into account that the stock shift assembly costs $220.

anyone know whether the \"fix\" - putting spacers or pressing down on one side while installing (or something to that effect) - makes it any better?

If the MS SS is so dang expensive, will consider the TWM one. I hate making concessions though...

I know and the price is higher now that you can only buy direct from them. Before you could buy one for $180cdn (still too expensive) but now you can only get them for $180USD direct from TWM

Yes that is correct. We are located about 1 hour east of Montreal and the products would be shipping from our office in Quebec. Shipping with UPS from our location to most of Ontario takes only 1 day, so if we put together a group buy and everyone paid promptly you would likely receive the shifters the following day.

swales is right, the current retail price including tax and shipping is about $246.00CDN. If we got 10 people together and applied a 10% discount, the price would be $220.00 CDN including tax, shipped to your door. Let me know what you think.
