Default FUEL ECONOMY or lack of....

    Yup.. it's me again* Hahahaha

Well...Something surprising happened my last tank of gas.... ???

    462km..light goes on :o 45L of gas to fill up. :-**9.7L/100km = 24.25Miles per Gallon :o :o :o All in town!

After 2 years of shit mileage...my car decides to pick it up with 6 months left in my lease...go figure.

AND. This AGAIN shows that when your low fuel light goes on.. YOU DO NOT HAVE 10L or more in your Tank.
Someone mentioned that you have 10-15L in your tank when it goes on.... Don't rely on it.. unless you actually try it out..

i usually fill 42L to the first click maybe within 10km of driving with the light on.. last few fillups were high 7s and low to mid 8s.. 8.3L/100km and so on.. not bad for a lot of city driving and stop and go on the highway..

My gas milage blows and always has. I am average out around 375 km to a tank. 1/2 and 1/2 highway and city. I did however get my first tank over 425 last week.

Wow, I think something is wrong if I'm under 500km per take.

I usually get somewhere in the 500's with about half city and half country highway.
Probably be over 600 if it is was all highway. Helps if driving at 90km/hr without having to brake every few blocks.

Spent one tank where it was mostly city and it dropped to about 450km.

I always get around 500km no matter what kind of driving I do. One benifit of living here in T.O. is the gas prices. I kitchener gas is 83 cents and here in woodbridge I filled at 72.3. In 45 liters that about 5$ in savings!!! PER TANK!!! A few tanks and I'm laughing!!!

The next time i get a day off im gonna drop off my car and get them to give me a loaner because i have a list of things that have to be fixed. The mirror, The trim around the window black is peeling, the rubber seals are all dried out and cracked, my clutch makes a very weird vibration while releasing it, my car shakes pretty bad when sitting at a light. I think my car is a friken lemon

I agree. Last time the low fuel light came on at about 50km left. I refueled and it came to about 46.2L or something so I am looking at about 9L worth of gas left when that light comes on. I do mostly highway driving from Scarborough to Mississauga and the trip computer tells me about 680km worth of gas when I fill up. Then again, I am running the 2.0L engine.

I just gave up bitching about the fuel economy long ago. If I get 460km and the refuel light goes on, I'm happy.

That windshield defroster makes the car suck back the gas, because it runs the AC compressor. I was getting 550-580 km out of a tank, but now the cooler weather is here, I just got about 100km less out of the last tank. The windshield keeps frosting up and I have to keep switching to one of the defrost settings. If I forget to switch it back, or can't, then the fuel mileage goes way down. I might try some of that Anti-fog treatment so I don't have to run the defroster all the time.

I always get crappy mileage because I drive my car pretty hard.... IT'S MORE FUN!!! ;D

Usually shift at mid to high 4k daily driving, and on ramps are redline all the way!!!! Still haven't lost the fun in driving the car, even if it does cost me a little more each time at the pump.

In the last week I have been driving 1 gear higher than I normally would in every mode. Street, on and off ramps, etc... and I have had my first 480km tank :o

my light comes on at 30km remaining on the trip.
I am definately sure that there isn't 10L in there.. =P

I get around 470ish a tank before the light comes on. Not complaining.

My fuel economy got better and now it is getting worse.

    What the effing dilly yo

When I was driving to the west end for work i was getting around 550-70 a tank...

NOW I am barely getting 510. Hmmm... tire pressure has been checked... the only thing is less traffic means a higher top speed on the hwy

    whatever...

I assume that, b/c when my light comes on and if I fill it up right way I just can put a maximun of 42 to 45L of gas, so if our tanks has a capacity of 55L, where those 10 o 13L went? Thas why i'm saying that when the light comes on you still have 10L or more of gas in the tank.

How many Km you can drive with that? Well, depens on how you drive.

i find that 80km i can do w/o worries.. once i ran out right at 100 km with 5m to go to a gas station (had to push across an intersection.. lol) - stupid rush hour traffic! :-[

EDIT: the tank might be 55L but it never fills to that amount.. by my calculations there's 10-12L left in the tank (usually when i filll up and teh light comes on i fill 42-43L) anwyay.. each case will vary..
