What i'm getting from this is really mixed. Am i able to do it with a fender roll, or would i actually have to swap tires, which isn't ideal.
Original question:
gen 1
17 x 8.5 +30
205/45 tires
yellows
possibly switching to sportlines.
any issues?
i know i keep asking, but i'd rather take heat for asking than miss out on a good opportunity.
Ryan (SomeGuy) is doing a Corksport group buy. i know Corksport has a (new?) lowering spring that claims 2.25" front and 1.75" rear drop.
any issues?
to reiterate my specs:
gen 1 sedan
17x8.5 +30
205/45 series tires
Probably a minor roll in the back, and at least a minor roll/pull in the front.

I have a couple of questions,
1) I'm ordering from 1010tires.com since it seems to be the only online dealer I could find that is Canada-based, when I searched for packages, those rims with those tires came up. Will the 205 tire-width be enough for 8" rim-width because the 205 tire-width is for the stock 17x6.5 +52.5mm mazda 3 oem rims?
2) What would be an ideal tire size?
3) Will this fit?
4) Will I rub a lot? I'm trying to go for little to no rubbing at all.
There is little to no chance of rubbing unless you're super low. Those tires are fine on 8" wide rims.
@ninjaremix
I have 205/45 series tires on an 8.5" wheel, very light stretch.
One of the representatives at 1010tires.com said that for the 17x8 225/45R17 are the compatible tires but I've decided to go with the 17x7.5 +48 offset to completely obliterate rubbing, but I'm not sure what the best tires are, my choices are 225/45R17 or 215/45R17.
I want a comfortable ride with the best durability and little to no rubbing if thats possible
I chose that because I got too afraid of rubbing when I'm driving fast and accidentally running over pot holes. I just ordered the wheels and tires 2 minutes ago, haha, I just wanted to rip that bandaid fast If in a case in which I need spacers, I actually am currently running spacers with my rims right now
Just gotta dodge them potholes man, always dodge the potholes.
If you're looking to keep em flush, that setup will be nowhere near it unfortunately
If you wanna run 25mm, maybe
Will be fine
I currently have 225/40/18 on my 2010 mazda 3 sedan that is lowered on pro kits. I find the ride somewhat harsh so just curious if it is okay to buy 225/55/18 or even 225/60/18 without having any rubbing or fender issues.
thanks
