    Monster truck mode engaged
The wheel gap is ungodly because the springs are new but oh my god it is comfortable and worth it. The Rear KONI orange had blown and the fronts were knocking. Tossed them in the dumpster. Wouldn't feel good about giving them away for free.

    Ideas:

I'm thinking next year I can run 15x8 / 16x8 diamond racing steelies in black or white with some beefy tires. - negative offset and some ZG universal fender flares. Ultimate comfort and utility

Something like the attached VW rabbit but the tires will not be anywhere that huge.

I might also autodip the current red wheels black in the meantime as it don't look good.... At all.... Lol

Looking comfortable! They should drop another 1.5 inches. Or put some sand bags in the trunk.

Do it. Sideskirts and sideskirt extensions are so overplayed on these cars....start a side step trend!

    Wheels look better black.

I'll be looking at diamond racing steelies in black: 15x7 or 16x8 for next year. 0 offsett

What tires will work for each?
    15x7
    16x7
    16x8

    P. O. S.

    Started idling badly at Bayview.
Slight Knocking at Leslie and shutting off.
Idles around 400-500rpm sporadically then down to 200rpm
    No CELs at all.

It Might be my Arts and crafts epoxy MAF plug. That's what was wrong last time. I Will check if all the wires are Intact.

I Will take to Jimmy's in the new year when he's back. Sorry Jimmy if you're reading this, you are probably sick of this car too.

    Startin 2019 off pretty good...
Time to load up that PRESTO card...

Thank God for CAA. I use them too much.
And at least I had enough time to walk across the street to LCBO and pick up some whiskey tonight

Started it up to move it: got a CEL finally:
    cylinder 4 misfire.
Ok bad sparkplug: changed sparkplug: it looked ok but changed anyways:
New CEL, : multiple/random cylinder misfire.
Moved cylinder 4 coil pack to cylinder 3: same code.
    I'm done. Sending to shop.

Take it out to Pasteur and shoot it....
I'll find out today from Jimmy hopefully.

    2 options:
Scrap it if its too much in repairs/not repairable. pull the nice parts off and sell them.
    or repair and sell.

It doesn't make sense to keep spending money on this thing. I'll see how much it will be to keep it on the road and decide.

    anyone feel free to PM me if you are interested in the following;

    Corksport aluminum skidplate
    thule Roof Racks with fairing
    LED bar and mounts
    Hella Horns
    HVAC knobs
Black Mazda 6 rims 17x7 with Hankook I-Pike RS winter tires
    black tinted tail lights
    Morimoto Halogen kit
    CS SRI
    assortment of free emblems/trim pieces.

a FS thread and prices will follow if the car is done.

...Sorry to hear that it maybe parted
    if they fit a 2012..
I would be interested in the Skidplate
Im sure Jimmy will work a miracle
    and she will rise again....

Depending on your plans, you could consider reaching out to Reddie1337 . His shop takes cars from the auction and rebuilds. Might be a reasnable cost option.

    Way ahead of you.

Took my stuff off the car today at Jimmy's (nice and warm inside)

Picture of cylinder 3 and 4. Head gasket failure.

It was a fun car. Wish I didn't JUST REPLACE THE DAMN SUSPENSION like a month ago.... Oh well.

239K. i was almost done building a new car with all the parts I put on it....
The suspension was super comfortable but still firm and responsive.
it was a good car for 5 years. doesn't owe me anything.

Used cars are all crap on Autotrader. Everything too expensive with high mileage.
I found a nice MT 2007 Mazda 3 in red with no rust but dealer wont come down from $4000. its high mileage.
Also a nice 2010 golf 2DR in red MT but listed at $6800. dealer wont come down in price.
there is also a sketchy $2000 Mazdaspeed6 in black. wonder how long that would last given the high mileage.... Jimmy saw the same listing. lots of interest given the price but I feel it would be so much more in imminent repairs.

I'm looking at leasing some new stuff too.
A deal fell thru on a 2018 Mazda3 due to sketchy sales tactics.
I'm waiting on pricing for the 2019 sedan with Jeff @ MOT. I should have went there to begin.
(should be out early FEB). cars are still at sea and landing in Vancouver.

I test drove a 2018 Mazda3 GS MT and was impressed with how it drove. nice short throw, good clutch ect. tight steering and quick.

I checked out the Elantra in MT - not that impressed with interior and how the clutch felt but the price is crazy cheap. good fallback option based on price alone. It is also cheaper to lease an Elantra than the smaller cheaper Accent... really weird.

Civic, Golf, Impreza in MT are all next on the test drive circuit.

Automatic is NEVER an option. simply, they suck IMO.

    the search continues.
