Did a test fit of the M'Z front lip on my car....... (stealing Peter's photo here). You can also see the yellow high-beam bulbs I put in.

I'm still thinking that something like the Kenstyle lip would be better (if they made it for the '12) to keep the "clean" theme I have in my head, rather than the splitter look.

Would anyone vote for this version (M'Z splitter style) if I were to paint it red?

Not a big fan of splitter style lips. Kenstyle would be better. Although we don't know when that'll be..

I actually really like the M'z lip on the Gen2s. I love the yellow tint in the headlights from the high beam bulbs...looks sweet with the blue inner-circle SkyActiv's come with!

Well, you could use the splitter style lip temporarily until the Kenstyle lip is available for the 2012, then sale the splitter.

Yeah, think I might just wait for now. Put money towards suspension......

On another note, I played around with the engine cover yestereday. Wanted to see a) how vinyl would hold up on there over time, and b) how I could vinyl the shape. I started out with carbon vinyl on the sides, but was running into adhesion problems on the small dips running front-to-back. Although I cleaned it well, the vinyl still doesn't stick that well to that bare plastic under tension.

So I tried the vinyl on the center instead, and found it hard to get the edges to adhere properly. Plus, the holes for the oil/dipstick suck to vinyl even using multiple pieces. Thus, I'm resigned to painting this piece instead at some point.

Looks good for a first try. I'd love to take a stab at this piece.

Tell you what, after I get the center painted you can have a go at CF'ing the sides for me.

Sure. You did a nice job on the centre though, I'd leave it for a little while.

LOL I already took it off. Bubbles on the edge, and the edges wrapped on the back weren't sticking.

I'm sticking with the "never install something that is only 'good enough' " this time around

Took advantage of the good weather to go for a carwash. So did everyone else, sat in line for 30 minutes.

    Love the photos!

What is that on your keychain? I had something similar on my old one...It was a tag my dad gave me from a plane that he worked on. It said "remove before flight"
