    Default Optik's Log

So, I installed the Autotech internals yesterday, flashed OTS stage1 91 map. Did a pull on the highway to check how the HPFP internals are doing. Fuel pressure looks good and holding up. Car is bone stock (have yet to install the SRI/TIH and RMM from JBR), fourth gear pull, traction control off. Log looks clean to me, anything worth looking for?

Also tried to map the log on VD but keep getting a database exception error whenever I try to select a car profile from the custom I made. Wanted to know baseline before I move on to other mods. I know VD is not that accurate but it'll do for now. Anyone want to map it? Thanks.

I used the 2011 MS3 profile and guessitmated your weight at 150 lbs.

    VD is pretty damn accurate.

the AFRs are pretty damn lean for an OTS map
Oh damn, that sucks. Oh well, I stopped reading the Speed section because according to certain people only speed owners are allowed to even look at that section.

    Nice numbers Ash!

Although, kinda weird with VD isn't it? Shouldn't we be seeing around 240HP and comparable torque? That looks like stage 2 territory somehow...

Thanks, I'd take the 150 as my weight (I'm actually 170). I can't seem to fix the VD that I've downloaded, no cars defined on the drop down menu, unless you still have to do that manually.

Nothing to be concerned to with though, right? I think that's safe at WOT.

Filled up with 94 and flashed stage1 94 OTS map last night. Drove around for a couple of kilometres last night. Looking good so far.

Can't wait to get the majority of my bolt ons done then off to get protuned.

OTS map Stage 1 94.. Still stock with Autotechs..

Did a third gear random pull today, probably not a proper log as I didn't get a nice traction and it was short which most likely explains the boost spike..

Just not sure about the AFR's that I see..

    Let's see....
A full pull would be nice.
Do a MAF calibration yet? That should help your AFR's. OTS maps are a bit rich too but not that rich.
Fuel pressure is fine, you could slightly bump targeted pressure since you have internals and stage 1 maps run stock fuel pressures roughly.
Boost is fine, knock is fine.
Weird bit of timing, that bunch of -3, check the tables to see what it's targeting, I found some oddball values in the OTS maps but more likely traction control? Was it off?

No, haven't done a MAF calibration yet, I'll probably be doing it once I install my SRI/TIH..

Will see if I can play with it on ATR. I just didn't want to blow things out. LOL!! (still learning)

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure I had traction control off.. I did another pull just to be sure. I'll check ATR tomorrow to see what the targets are as I don't have ATR on my laptop right now.

Here's the new log, third gear again..

Ash. 4th gear logs is what you need to do. Install the stuff you have and get vince to tune you.

Looks good. LTFT in the 11s though at the start of the log.

    Thanks..

See that's what I'm trying to understand. There's no mention as to what the acceptable values are for LTFT at half throttle. Technically, I'm not even at WOT yet when they show at 11's. I'm just going by the below document.

Ignore my post above, after talking to some of the folks and of course, Vince as always for the assistance, I now have an understanding of how it works. My fuel trims are now much more settled.

Also find it odd that with the S-OTS maps that were supposedly made for the combo doesn't really like my car. My trims were to the roof with the S-OTS maps, it was at +17.xx at part throttle and would hover at +12.xx to +14.xx at idle. Triple checked clamps, etc to ensure I have no leak post MAF.

So I did a random pull today. I'm still on the fence if I want to keep the JBR SRI/TIH just because I really think the clamps are too convoluted.

So I decided to back - off and flashed the Cobb Map instead. Will definitely do a MAF CAL once the weather is settled.

Hopefully, I can get at least my DP in and get to the tuning process earlier rather than later.

Stage 1 OTS 93 map. Looks like an over boost from cells D15 - D23. The boost targets are 16.5 psi on ATR.

The car runs awesome coupled with the PSS tires that I'm running that are 245/40/17. It keeps you pinned to the ground.

The car is now sitting at 9000 kms. Other than that, I'm just enjoying the car as it is and how slow it is compared to the other big boys here.

.. and just because I won't be going for appearance looks with this car, it probably won't see a lot of camera time. LOL..

This is how she currently sits.

Looks good assuming your LTFT are within +/- 10

Try and log from 2500 right to redline in 4th gear on a completely flat smooth road for best accuracy.
