Went to the bank to deposit my pay cheque. Came out to coolant dripping... looked underneath the car and noticed the leak was coming from the drivers side. Hopefully it's a hose. For now, well like usual it will be parked in the garage

Went to a Mitsubishi dealership for my recall notice appointment and they didn't have the parts. Took half the day off from work and I called to make the appointment a week ago. Why don't they check these things or follow up with customers before the customers come in.

mine is stock and little high with 218xxxkm was told was taken care of...guess thats what i get for trusting the internet

And it has some unknown tune I'm stuck with because the first owner sold the access port separately.

Not that many mods, didn't notice any smoke when I test drove it, but a few nights later a friend spotted it. It's been getting worse since.

Taking it to daves Miata for a compression test, gonna figure out if it's the common leaking k04 or if my motor is done.

Oh alright. I picked up a 2012 in June, looked like previous owner maintained the shit out of it, and hadn't modded it, so I hope I got lucky that way, I was just wondering cause I have a tune, intake, hollowed exhaust, aftermarket HPFP, and wanted to know if I was into a trouble zone. But I think your unknown tune may be a problem as well. If it was me, I may have replaced the ecu and started fresh, but I know that's not a cheap alternative. @Dallas87

Mileage isn't everything, I mean I know that people prefer low mileage, but maintenance is the key. The one I picked up had 140ish, but maintenance records from the dealer, so I felt better about it, and knock on wood, I've been lucky so far. 14000k into it now.

I was told mine was well maintained but didn't see any records the car was very clean and couldn't not find any rust and was told the k04 was replaced with a revised Mazda turbo and the timing chain had been replaced so thought the problems were out of the way but the had cel on and it turned out to be a misfire in the first cylinder so we replaced spark plugs and first cylinder coil pack and seemed fine until it came back on saying third cylinder misfire and you could tell it was a misfire. Turns out a value in the third chipped off and I had no compression. also when we changed the oil it was low and black so wasn't maintained as well as we were told

But now whole top end is being replaced or refurbished and new timing chain while we are at it so it's pretty much a new engine and looking to start some mods next summer (intake, exhaust, bov...ect noithing crazy)

At 200+ Km I would consider having a good look at the bottom end while the engine is open. You don't want to have to do it all again down the road. If you decide not to, I'd suggest not going nuts on the mods and not driving it too hard. These turbos can be hard on the bottom ends of these engines.

Thanks for the tip I would be only dailying it in the summer time and wouldn't go crazy with mods cuz of the higher mileage but would like to do few things like an intake and exhaust

3 crappy situations back to back...

1) Going to "see" a unit that turned out to not even be for rent but the owner felt if he found someone else interested he could kick the current tenants out. #scumbag

2) Calling to find out if I can view another condo listed for rent only to have the person refuse to show it to me because they don't feel as one person I have any right to a 2 bedroom unit #YouDontKnowMe

3) Finding a great condo but because of the past tenant damaging it the landlord expects an additional $1,600 over and above the first and last (which are already $4,000 combined) as a "key deposit" and "security deposit" #unfair

I'm going off to college this September to become a lineman (guys who fix the power when it goes out)..., 7500 for Rez, 3000 for tuition, 4000 for Tools!!!! All for my first year.... no car mods this year
